Birth of the Sirens

Lament ye daughters of bright Troy, for Achaean's depart on sorrows tide.Woe of woe unto thee whose sons are broken spears without a mantle.Cry out thy mournful wail tell salt by eyes birth leaves cold the pyre stones.Your alter built unto Poseidon's ear,by bright rent cloth of scarlet stain.Hear lay the gold of Troy now, darkening sand of sorrows tide.

Tell as like light from darkness spreads fire from voice to voice.Brave daughters of bright Troy in harmony will sing, walking hand on heart to sea. With head high and voice firm, faces cast of marble beauty, each in candles light.Alas but their voice is herd no more yet by the rocks of distant shore. For it has been sealed by waters kiss, cold and dark as the memory of love.
