I don't always have the words But my love always grows It's hard to voice my feelings So I'd bring you a rose
I would hold your hand Write you a note Or even go back And read old letters we wrote
I would just sit next to you To touch you or to talk I might escort you outside Just to take a walk
I start singing Although it's off key Just to make you Start laughing at me
I would visit you at work And smile as I leave Listen to your good news And hold you when you grieve
I might take you shopping And walk with you into the store Without slouching on the bench Acting as if it's such a bore
When we're in bed at night I let you cuddle close to me So when I wake up in the morning You're the first thing I see
Because I don't always have the words All these things I do It's just my way of saying I truly love you

About this poem:
In a past relationship, I learned a valuable lesson: although "actions speak louder than words" sometimes words mean more and even put emphasis behind the action.
