Valentine's Day

The word Valentine comes from a priest
The priest named Valentine
He married couples against the law of the state
Went to prison and died for his good deeds
The ruler at the time needed lots of soldiers
Married men didn't have to go to war
While in prison Valentine healed the jailer's daughter
His prayers brought back her sight
Before he was to be executed he left her the first Valentine signed
"Your Valentine"

beautifulyou, thanks for your comment. I have an electronic trivial pursuit I got from my brother for Christmas around 1998. I play it mostly around skiing season, but occasionally I'll play it when I don't have a newspaper to read in my car before I walk into work.
