The Perfect Pick
Would you like to hear a song
I just finished it today
It is such a lovely song
Grab a chair while I play
It's been hidden for a while
Waiting shrouded in a haze
It may even help you smile
When entangled in a maze
It won't hit you like a gong
In a land of broken deals
Where they sell you for a song
In the name of empty thrills
It won't send you running wild
Trying each and every way
It will soothe your inner child
And is mild for every day
Would you like to hear my song
It will help you win the race
It will keep you going strong
'Til you reach a better place
Would you like to hear this song.

for that year. A slow,bluesy tune goes with it
when it's performed.

I have posted poetry written by others, but I always state the name of the author who wrote it in keeping with the policy stated by CS.

If I was not,it would state otherwise. I realize that it's very primitive,but all my "poems" are lyrics to my songs,and I have to keep it simple to flow with the music.
