The Thief

Oh lovely flower, radiant in thy master's grace.
Who shall love thee in twilight's dark embrace?

The sum of youth is but a fleeting moment.
From inevitable truth there is no escape.
It's flesh and bone in time is soon erased.
To stardust we shall return.

The beauty resides within your soul, my love.
Tucked neatly within the cosmic center.
Between the spaces of a ticking clock.
In chambers time will not dare enter.

Thank you for your comments. I have reached a point in life where my awareness of time has become more enhanced. It is a bittersweet period, however, I feel there is still much time for all the great moments of living a conscious life.
