LISTEN MY FRIENDS WHILE I TELL YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT, WHICH I LEARNED FROM MY YOUTH! RELIGION WAS CREATED TO KEEP PEOPLE IN LINE! IT"S JUST THROUGH YOUR GOODNESS AND YOUR GENUINE HELPING OF MANKIND, THAT WILL ONEDAY EARN YOU THAT SPECIAL SIGN; AFTER WHICH YOU SHALL BE TAKEN TO A GLORIOUS PLACE; WHICH ONLY THE CHOSEN FEW SHALL RECEIVE THAT ALMIGHTY GRACE! FOREVER AND EVER YOU SHALL LIVE ON AND ON; DOING THINGS THAT ALTHROUGH YOUR LIFE; YOU HAD ALWAYS WISHED UPON! SO THERE YOU HAVE IT MY FRIENDS; LIVE YOUR LIFE HELPING OTHERS AND YOUR EXISTENCE SHALL HAVE NO END!

John 3:16New International Version (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

You cannot have any greater love than that for your Creator to come to earth in human form - take all our sins (EVERYONE'S WHEN THEY ASK)- suffer terribly for us - slaughtered for us - and still love each and everyone of us - no matter what we do - as long as we believe in Him and ask for forgiveness. Then want us with Him for eternity. What a great gift!

Well said, we need more of this, instead of the helping of ourselves. When I was teaching 20 years ago there was this song called I Trouble. "I trouble, I trouble, everybodys looking out for number one, you and me and I trouble, what gonna become of all this I trouble?"

Well Travis - I could certainly qualify to be a nun if I was Catholic. But I'm a die in the wool Methodist!!

Hope that was a compliment. You never know. If you learned that religion was to keep people in line - maybe you went to a Catholic school and had those strict nun school teachers!!
