Perfect Imperfection

They tell me perfection
does not exist in this world,
and that I could look forever
and never find the "perfect girl."

But who could ever be imperfect?
Since we each see love
in our own perfect light,
I might find what I'm dreaming of:

a girl who doesn't care if her hair's a mess;
a girl whose mind can sometimes stray;
a girl who loves to joke around;
a girl who will wear her pajamas all day.

People can say what they want,
but it doesn't matter to me.
I'll define my own perfect girl
and decide who that might be.
