STRING IN THE WIND

Standing in the desert once again
Without my illusory den

You danced your devil’s dance
I oscillated in your beguiling black-swamp romance
Sweet chocolate-words dripped from your tongue-snake
I ate your poison cake

I wore my sentimental fool cloak
You wore your cheater’s toque
We danced with the butterflies and birds
All along you were girds

You gave me a reek swamp drink
You pushed me to the cliffhanger brink
Wild horses dragged me back to the memory-putrid
A flame red hatred is thundering deep inside me

Still feel the raptors menacing eyes
Their claws demonize
Asphyxiating my innocence
No helping hand

You have thrown me to the raptors again
Feel their sebaceous wen
We lost our twined
I am now only a string in the wind
