Sleeplessness

Tossing, turning, alone at night
That same old feeling conjures up inside
Thoughts and fears bring me to tears
Oh how I wish I could rewind the years
Mistakes made, people change
We take it with us, as we age
As if to carry my own cross
If I fall to my knees, will I feel at ease?
Hours pass, it's a new day
but tonight the pain will start over again

As somebody who fears the bed each night because sleep doesnot come, often. I can understand this marvellous peom, all too well.
Also thinking about the past, all the thoughts that come up at night. I love it.
You could have been writing about me, I can indentify with mistakes, getting older etc., love it. thumbs up

Thank you all for your comments handshake

Luckily I have no problem sleeping the majority of the time, but have definitely had nights of unrest in the past due to overthinking. I hope for those of you in the same boat that it'll pass too hug
