The Snake Pit

Carved my three pumpkins
T-rex, Princess Leia, and Alien
Now I am going golfing around 11:30
#6 has a grave yard to the left of the fair way
If you hit one in you leave it
Then around 3:30 I leave for my mom's
I call it the Snake Pit
This may be the last year there for Trick or Treating
I got a call from my sister saying she wants to put mom in a home
Mom has dementia as well as a grandson who has drained her savings
There is nothing left to pay the bills
I turned them down when they asked me for money
I had already paid a third of my Dad's funeral which was about three grand
So will she let me stay and give out candy or send me packing?
All I can do is try
Try once again to survive The Snake Pit!

About this poem:
My sister is doing basically what we did to Japan in 1945, getting revenge for neglect of her and her children and grandchildren by taking mom out of her home and away from her grandson and greatgrandson, and her great granddaughter, when she is brave enough to visit.

Hmm MC that’s a tough one ...... if your mom has dementia she made need extra care mate .... a work colleague of mine’ s mother was adamant she didn’t want to end up in a home but once in there her son could not believe how much joy she found . Anyway Mate enjoy what you have when you can regards Nugrin
