I got a treat of free golf with a golf cart yesterday It was at a golf course I used to be a member at in 1994 around May It was hole number 16 that sits about 150 yards from my parking spot I connected with a six iron and the ball flew up and hot Sticking on the green about three feet away Telling myself to sink the putt there would be nothing my head would say Clear your mind of all the junk And into the hole the ball went with a plunk I had golfed this hole about 100 times before But since it is rare for me to edit my thoughts, the good shots went out the door So like in life if you can clear your mind of the bad You can do things that will make you glad I'm still working on this as I am 52 So I can enjoy my life till it is through

About this poem:
One of my favorite golf shots happened long ago with my brother. It was a par 3, first shot off tee went into a bunker, second shot stayed in the bunker, third shot rolled onto the green and into the hole, a par.
Worked at a golf for 6 years (cafe-restaurant). Was handed a free set of golf clubs. Unfortunanetly they were all for right handed. I guess I did not have an option to use those. So I started to practice at the practice field and did pretty good shots. One day was tunned up with a friend and my ball ended up into a pond. Getting it I encountered a gator getting close towards me.....it cause such an impression that I never did try to play again.... Nice write here mcradloff, thanks for sharing. SM
