When I am no longer here Do not stand up and say mealy mouthed How this or that I was as a person If you have not told me this to my face. Do not lie and say that You will miss me If you have not kept in contact By phone By email By letter By prayer By radio By visiting I was here all the time Sending messages and receiving none noting my invitiations were ignored Do not stand up and wipe away false tears What use is that to me Did you ever see my real ones? Do not come in all your funeral finery To spout your empty speeches I will not be able to hear you So save your breath

About this poem:
Just a short piece to share the importance of keeping in contact with people we love and know , written from a different point of view. We have so many ways of keeping in contact, years go by so quickly, don't let your next contact be at that person's Sunset Ceremony / Funeral.
