Green Eyes Blue

I think of love and pastures new

My wasted life or victories won?

I live for love yet out of reach

I often think, is she the one?

Love takes many guises and some unreal

A love contained in only words

I think of love and tender touch

We speak but only in sounds unheard

I think of many loves and broken hearts

I think of things yet to be

And when I stop and think of you

I yearn to see your green eyes blue

About this poem:
An online friend confided to me that at the moment of climax her green eyes turned a shade of blue . . . several weeks later she was telling me that no one had ever written a poem about her. This poem was the result of those two conversations.
