THE LIFE OF A BAG

THE LIFE OF A BAG

Yep, I'm a bag
Doesn't really matter what type of bag
Why, because a bag is a bag is a bag
And we all serve a purpose you see
We act like a bag

Please don’t hold it against me
If I cannot hold what you want
I am just a bag you see
I did not make me who I am

So, as I said, yep I’m a bag
What type of bag you may wonder
Well patience please as I ponder
Hard to tell quick, as, well, I am bag

OK, so a Green bag with….hmmm
Black stripes running the length of me
Shinny buttons I also see around the middle of me
Sturdy hands to hold me easily

How big am I you ask
Oh about so big I think
What, I’m a bag so use me

Ok Ok…I’m big enough for say 2 toasters
Medium sized toasts, before you ask
So a good bag and not so small
But not too fat and not too tall

So what I have done as a bag
Well I’ve carried a dog, yep that was weird
I’ve carried groceries and a few fireplace logs
Even carried some clothes for my owners wedding change
Being a bag is a little strange

But as life goes for a bag
I want you to know
It has not been bad at all these many years
Thank goodness my age doesn’t show

The life as a bag
Going from here to there
Not worried about what to do or what to wear
Is pretty nice, I am happy to be me
Not like my human
Who often uses me

So I am happy to be a bag
Carrying what I can
Call me if you need me
Time and again

My owner is pretty nice
And for a small price
You can use me for a day
To help you on your way

But happy to be here
Here I will stay
A bag is a bag is a bag
No, I don’t think so

About this poem:
I have the ability to write about any sugject, phrase or thought. Also to write either a poem, short story or song.

One day a friend called me and asked me what I do when I get a creative block and I told her that I look around where I am and pick something anything to write about. So that day I saw a bag.
