rwantin: I dunno, the kids in our office dress a helluva lot better than I do.
Yeah, but they're still living with Mama and Daddy and blowing their money on their wardrobes, whereas you live alone and blow your money on motorcycles.
Any job I ever had I worked hard and did mre than I had too.I have worked with people like me and with those who do as little as possible.I don't know idf it's age that matters.

You know me too well. Hey, in my defense, I blow my money on other things. Like...like...er...uh...cat litter.

Well, my supervisor is the laziest person in the place, and she's 60-ish. The youngest girl is 20-ish, she has her moments, but she is by far harder working than the other two.
The other offices I've worked in were about the same, there are lazies of all ages.
I believe that ethics change. Yes, younger people come to work in ways I never would have greamed of. They have purple hair, pierced noses, tongues, eyebrows. mutiple ear piercings. They wear baggy clothes and chains dangling. So what?
Do they put in a honest days work?? Mostly yes! As Bob Dylan would say, "...the times they are a -changin"
I am more upset when a growm man with millions of dollars steps to the podium to receive an honor for his contributions to music, wears a tux jacket and jeans with holes in them!!
AS a poster has already said, parents play a large role in how these young people enter the work force. There was a time when a man could support his family while making minimum wage. He was proud that he even had a job. But there was a future to look forward to.
When you talk about ethics in the work place...it would be more apropos to look at the ethics of the CEOs. A boss used to have concern for his employees, wanting to keep them on and giving them incentives to stay with the company. Now CEO's drive a company into the ground, after draining all the life and energy from the employees. Then they reaps multi- million dollars bonuses, when the leave a company after ."Down-sizing". Thousands of people out of work...but he gets millions for making them un-employed
The place I worked at was the like the twighlight zone of machine shops. the older workers came is drunk and obnoxious 4 days a week and the 18-22 years olds were the ones coming into work bright eyed and bushy tailed every day.
I'd show some pics but I don't know how to post them on the forums

In response I can tell you, I probably have the last good CEO. 30 year retired army Col. Appleby is the best.
princess49503: Corporate Headquarters in Germany decided to send our jobs to f***n Brazil because of a pissing match with one of our customers.... I'm living off of other peoples tax money until December
