ellimere: ,there is something off putting about a man who never learned to drive !!
just wondering is it just me , or do other women feel the same ?
I have dated guys who couldn't drive and I didn't have a problem with it. I can drive motorbikes and cars so as long as someone in the relationship can drive what's the big deal

i think alot of the problem especially with my ex was that he expected me to drive him everywere and be happy about it. he was just too lazy to drive. even if i had a long day in work i would have to drive him everywere. its about being equal

I married a man who couldn't (at the time) drive, and neither could I. We both learned when it became necessary, we did out driving tests... I passed first time, he took another 4 attempts

I would never expect a person to drive me anywhere. That said I know any where I will ever need to go where I can't access by public transport, there will probably on law of averages be somewhere I know going at the same time.
Frankly the line that you can't get on without a car is a myth. People who drive can't understand this but I have never experienced a problem from not driving. It makes it slightly harder to get around, but nothing major.
Also I'm not sure where some people here live, but I live in a small town, slap bang in the centre of it and never needed a car to get around. If you're really in the country then yes, but in a reasonable size town it's no biggie.

Live my schedule for a week and you'll bust that myth.
