I only passed my driving test in Feb as I thought I could never drive due to my eyesight and hearing loss. I am glad to say I have been proven wrong. My first gf did the driving for us when I met her and she never had a issue with me not being able to drive, I guess it's a personal opinion really.

obviously if there was a health issue i wouldnt mind , as my own father didnt drive for years after a stroke .
einstein never drove a car. i guess that proves your point. then again patrick stewart from star trek doesn't drive and he's not a creep. barry manilow, henry rollins, courtney love, mariah carey and lastly ... lindsay lohan (ha ha)

i thought most lads learned to drive in their early teens, i was driving at 12, not every where but on quite roads i would do a bit and in fields, i couldn't even begin to imagine not been able to drive

It's like somebody said earlier, it all depends on where you live. There's not a hope in hell you could survive in Donegal without being able to drive, well, not if you want to be independent anyway
Living in a city, you have public transport so the need isn't as great
