I dont think I've purchased any music or films in about 3 years now! Although, I did have to buy another terabyte hard drive to keep all my treasures on
The "extras" so to speak don't normally come with the blue ray copies, those just tend to be what they say they are - the blue ray version of the film. If your wanting to download something with the extras then you'd have to be looking for the ISO version as when you click that on, it will open up exactly like the dvd would when you put it in. Anything fairly main or well known the ISO's would be easy to find but anything more off the radar or obscure would be harder to find.
For you (or anyone else who wants to get into downloading media) I offer the "Idiots guide to torrents" - I was getting so many people asking me how to download stuff I just sat down and actually wrote it all out, the how to's and good sites to use, etc etc - so if anyone wants or needs it lemme know and I'll happily send it on.

I gave you a thumbs up.
Yep, I need to invest in one of those 'portable hard discs' myself. I'll probably stick with DVD's at the moment since they're so cheap.
I reckon Sony are shooting themselves in the foot financially by pushing 'Blue-Ray' though. The more they push it the cheaper DVD's are getting until eventually the net more or less takes over both of them. I reckon that anyone investing in a 'Blue-ray' collection is deluding themselves. JMO!

My first thumbs - its quite a moment!
I can highly recommend the Iomega hard drive that connects to your tv, it also comes with a remote - incredibly handy for watching things you've downloaded and you can also listen to your music via it that way as well - as well as view any photos that are on it.
How are dvd's cheaper than free downloads?? I paid 90euro for my hard drive and I have hundreds and hundreds of films and the music collection I can't even begin to describe You obviously have an internet connection already, so for a wee bit more you'll have the hard drive and there'll be no stopping you then!

'Free downloads'? Still have to pay for the broadband. Downloading eats up the gigabytes... Cheers for the link.
I highly recommend the Iomega line - I've 2 of them now and haven't had any issues with them and I really like the fact that you can connect the hard drive to the tv directly and just access your media with the remote then.
Since you are posting on this website I was assuming you were already paying for an internet connection Unless you are using the Eircom "thinger" and stealing your neighbours, which, if thats the case - then you wouldn't be worried about the usage in the least!
Most broadband packages these days come with incredibly reasonable download limits - if you are unsure of the download limit for the broadband package you are on - go to the company website - they all clearly state what your limit is. They should also advise on what their excess rates are - as in, if you download more than your package allows, what they will charge you for over use. Its been awhile since I was fully in the tech support loop, but when I was most places were only charging a few euro (between 2 and 5euros) for an extra 10 gigs - quite reasonable really. So even if you do go into excess, it still wont break the bank and I still guarantee that it works out cheaper than buying DVD's! And you'll be so far ahead of the game! I've watched films months and months before they've come out here!

Blue-Ray?(Vote Below)
Has the marketing campaign been in vain?
I personally don't know of anybody that uses it or has bought any 'Blue-Ray' discs...
