Do you believe in the death penalty? (63)
To be pro death penalty shows a lack of intelligence in my opinion. There is no true retribution/justicr for a loss of life. It cannot be paid back, to believe so is stupid... It would be far more intelligent to do lots and lots of studies especially on the serial and non passionate killers to see what is happening there since anyone with sense knows that "evil" is not a product of a non existent devil.
Oregongold: I believe in the Death Penalty, and here is one that might piss people off, but I think the death penalty should also include ANYONE who drives drunk and kills someone. Sorry folks, but I dont believe in a humane way of execution. Why in the hell should we be gentle to the POS that made the victim suffer? Maybe public execution, or Pay per View, I also think that if you are against the death penalty you should be required to pay (other than taxes)a part of keeping the criminals way of life in the big house, those who believe in the death penalty dont have to pay any extra. I am tired of those bleeding hearts who are more for the criminals rights, when they should be more concerned for the victims rights. BTW do I sound like I dont care about criminals on Death Row, your right I dont. Here is the score card: Friends of mine murdered-2, killed by drunk drivers-5. If you dont want the death penalty, make prisons a place so bad you dont want to go in.... ever.
No offense here but it costs more to kill the killer than it does to house them for life so pro death penalty people should actually be paying in that sense. Sorry for your loss but more death doesn't bring anyone back, it just makes more loss for more families.

so if that's OK .... but in my religion it is not - I cannot adhere to my religion and accept taking a life
I tend to see things as more black & white than most and I feel it puts us as no better than the ones who we are convicting. it is a difficult question and certainly not one to take lightly whether you are for or against
