mi1959KE: with the middleeast at war all the time. its a good idea to stop letting new middle east immigates in here. we don't know who the hell is who.and with lots of canadians out of work. why do we pay to import workers.
All I know is that the more people that are brought into Canada, the harder it is for Canadian born citizens to find work. Employers are hiring immigrants to do jobs because they know they can pay them less.
Why in the world bring in more people when they can't even feed their own.

actually I believe that not to be true and is the same complaint that the Americans hold.
Canadian employers are very interested in hiring Canadians - it's a lot easier.... also to get into Canada - there are specific rules and I thought each must be sponsored....
and everyone except the native americans are immigrants ....

My son went to college for 3 years in electronics engineering and can't find work in that field. He lined up at a job fair to work at Costco a few years ago and arrived hours beforehand. When he arrived, there were already 200 people lined up and the majority of those people were new immigrants to Canada. Costco stopped taking applications 12 people ahead of my son...how discouraging is that for a Canadian born who has skills and education.
If a porch can only accommodate 15 people, why cram 2,000 on it.
