I just have a feeling that people look down on a guy with a younger woman than they do when a cougar dates a younger guy. It's just a feeling I have, though, and my own opinion. People tend to think guys are letches when they go with a younger woman, whereas a woman going with a younger guy is just having fun. It's a shame there is a double standard like that, though.
Why do others care who or why you are with someone of a different age group? Unless they are jealous or just look for the worst in others, personally I couldn't care less what people think of the person I am dating or of me, what I think about is are we happy and if we are that's really all that matters.
Too many people in this world make unfounded, unthinking and clouded judgements on others, if mankind could only learn to be more tolerant imagine how much more peaceful our planet would be!!
Why does there even have to be a stigma? Why do others care who or why you are with someone of a different age group? Age is just a number!
I have always dated younger men. It's between the two people and it's really no one else's business! If it makes you happy, Go for it!
I picked: An older woman dating a much younger man. I don't think it is a social stigma for me, more of a dilemma that I just can't personally get past. Which is sad for the guy who asked me out last weekend and for me, because he was very nice and adorable....but two years younger than my oldest daughter. I think he needed glasses seriously.
The poll should have an "Equally right" button, and a "None of your business" button. I always liked older male actors, dated people my own age in real life, and flirt at guys in their 20s on the net. I always liked really sharp older men, but they were always the married ones. So, who are we to decide who dates whom, as long as the people are the age of consent?
