CuriousHim: Mt reason for creating this poll, is because I believe that sometimes we waste a huge amount of time, looking for love, but most of all a friend with whom you can chat with.
I’m sure most people joined CS with real purposes, to find somebody to share the days with. Since there are so many scammers around here, one gets suspicious every time there’s a mail waiting in the mailbox. You don’t take “dating” too seriously anymore, at least not here at CS. It’s nice to just login here and do some puzzles or write on the forum. Some people enjoy the blogs more. Yes, most people active on the forums, blogs or other places at CS are real people. I guess most people are hoping a miracle will happen and keep them self busy interacting with other meanwhile.
If you’re desperate, it’s better to try other "dating" sites.

Mate, you will never find love on a computer screen. Love happens in the real world, not in cyber-space.
So if you are looking for love here. Get real. This is a place for some people to become introduced to each other, some people to start a cyber friendship (if you want to call it that) and a place for scammers to hang out and attack emotionally vulnerable people like the vultures that they are.
If you are looking for love, you are going to have to go offline and into the real world where people interact without technology. Then you will really get to know the person, and you might really fall in love.
I met my girlfriend on here, and yes we began here, but it had to leave here to become real. And real it is....
Have fun here, groan here, and observe the spectrum of humanity as it reveals its greatness, and its utter stupidity. Then find you niche somewhere in between.
Use this as a tool, and a limited tool at that, and you will do well here. Think of it as your solution to finding your mate for life, and you will probably be bitterly disappointed.
But used in the right way, with the right motives, and this is a wonderful medium for meeting people who you eventually become real friends with and who you might actually start a real relationship with when you both come out into the real world from behind the computer sceens and cyberspace....

Oh no! That is NOT true! Not ALL women on here are like that.
I've been single many years and I'm an independent woman and I handle my own. I drive a great car and I live very comfortably. I also raised my daughter, she just recently left the nest, on my own without any financial assistance from her loser father, but I didn't need it anyway! Just like I don't need a man to complete me. If it happens, it happens. If not, I KNOW I'll be okay.

Sometimes being an independent woman is like a double-edged sword, like you said, some men are attracted to that and others are not.
To the ones that are not, I say, good riddens and move on! The last thing I need in my life is a jealous crybaby who calls himself a man.

You go girl...it is a double edge sword...if you don't like what you see...move on...but keep in mind there are more independent women who know what they want than there are the kind that drools on your every word
