But Snowden informed about methods that many countries didn't know, and Germany suddenly discovered that even its president's phone was under surveillance. And Snowden said he's ready to testify about it.

didn't the German news publish Snowden's manifesto or something - where does Russia stand in all this - are they happy to divert attention from somewhere else?
I understand from my German friends that general German folk are really angry and say the Americans have gone too far.
