Never an enthusiastic dresser, I did have a handful of occassions to show the chips and put on the ritz. In every case but one, I was fitted for deep, dark black with candy apple or cherry red tie. It looked great, and as far as clothes for men is concerned, black is an appealing, oft times sensuous color, whereas grays and dusty blues, etc...are thought to be a little more subdued/depressed. In short order, black for a suit, including shoes and socks, is a sure bet. The 70's mod suits of pink, green, fuschia, tangerine,etc... were just plain goofy. I forgot what that "look" was called, it was mentioned on Jeapordy last night. JMRO (just my rambling on...)
