equiya: In as much as I think he should not be cluttering the forums with his 'inane' polls I would rather see his polls here than the 4, 6, 8 letter scrabble games in the forums or bible verses in the blogs.

I reckon many a friendship, or relationship has been born out of those word games.
(I don't know about the bible ones, I've never really paid them any attention, but I expect so.)
If different things appeal to different people as a means of initiating contact, what we actually might be complaining about with this 'cluttering' concept is that threads of interest to us aren't always conveniently on our home pages and we don't like to share the space.
That seems a little silly, if we are able to access other forum threads with a small amount of effort.

There is more of a case for limiting word games which seem to bleed over the forums when there is something interesting on, but again they are legitimate.
As for the content of the polls, come on if only sensible posts were put up we would have the frequency of the international forums.
I add this is just my opinion.
