most government employees that administer welfare programs are required as part of employment to take drug tests.

I would like to see that elected officials before they legislate or propose any policy have to take an intelligence test or IQ test. thumbs up nerd maybe we would not have so many idiots running our countries.

We should start with that a**hole chimphead Oblama for drug testing along with all his czars and appointed crooks he placed to protect his a**. If a poor shlub who applies for a job at Walmart for a lousy 8.00 to 9.00 an hr and is subject to a battery of personality questions and automatically assumed to be a drug addict and or a thief Our elected official should be subject to the same kind of profiling and testing. Yet we live in a double standard world today Do as I say not as I do and idiots voted for it!!
I wonder is anyone happy with the change now?

look to the policies to that stinking walmart - not your government. doh It's a free country and your walmart is the reason for the less than real wage, and drug testing - they could do right with their employees, but of course it is a free country and everyone would rather blame their government then the stinking private businesses and evil corporations.

Intelligence is not a requirement within United States JWB was a prime example of American Beef (Cattle Stock) but yes overall abusive substances tests should be a requirement in all fields which involve control and allocation of public funds.

Yes but I never thought that Walmart would be such a socialist company. Yes they are entitled to run their company as they see fit
but overall the hidden psychology that most big companies is the worker bee works for the good of the company and the unions
as the unions lay down policy conditions and terms of employment and no doubt exempt themselves from the same policies they impose.

walmart is a private family owned business not like some evil corporations. and as far as unions within it? not sure, and not until quiet lately. Some unions are good and some historically, not so much. However, the union set up an agreement with the employer to say what is agreed upon and no one is exempt - supposedly - most of the union leaders are not employees of the company - the general union members are and they must comply with whatever is in the agreement.

The power of money that unhinges the votes is 90% the winner every time, regardless of the idiot in the running.

Nevertheless before we stray too far off from the original topic
regardless the opinions of how we see Wallyworld and any other big business the idea is should elected officials be subject to the same tests and background checks as citizens of this country is subjected too. To consider that the chimp in Washington and the controversy of his birth certificate and school records and legal citizenship along with everything else he deliberately had sealed after the heat he was getting from his lack of honesty. I would think if he had nothing wrong with who he is where he came from and how he got in office in the first place people would not be worried of who he is and what his agenda is all about. It's been 5 years now and he has trumped up a national debt beyond reason in the history of this nation. He spent more time on the golf course and taking lavish trips that cost millions gave billions to companies that ultimately failed instead of doing his job and securing this nation policies. Negated most of what congress wanted, took over the power of the senate by making Harry his puppet. Made Hillary secretary of state who had people who knew too much about her quietly and conveniently have unfortunate accidents and coincidental deaths. The great black hope who the poor black man thought he was finally getting a voice against the white man has even betrayed his own. Hence, his true colors shine as he is more Muslim and a socialist traitor to our nation than a black man who said he was going to be the voice to change America. Instead continues to blame GWB for all the country's ills and he has been out of office for 5 years now. The American people is the employer of the elected officials not the officials. They are our employees yet, somehow there seems to be a role reversal. We now work for the good of the state much like Communist Russia and China. We can see how well it's working for them. I think at one moment in his early years in college he was a pot head as well. Think about it why is it he allowed Oregon Washington and California and some others to legalize it. If you get the nation stoned they won't be alert enough to see the edicts he will impose on us when we come down from the high. Then everyone will question when did they make this rule or that rule? The answer will be " Oh while you were busy getting stoned and letting apathy set into your bones the rules and laws and edicts were passed. Sorry you missed the meeting." That is where we are heading right now.
