Friendship is pure!!!
you accept your friends warts and all, and your true friends have your back, plus if they are true friends, they have no ulterior motive, when they tell you that your behaviour, dress, attitude, men, etc., is unacceptable...
whereas lust can be mistaken for love, and when love/lust dies, what do have left...?? love/lust can last for a short period of time, or over 20 plus years - but it is alot easier to deal with and accept than having a spouse that betrays you, lies to you, deceives you, all because they lack the guts, and the courage to stand up and tell you that they are involved with someone else...
Think about it - how many of us can put our hands up and say we have a friendship/s that outlasted our marriages - I know I can...
