When I could eat it, my favorite topping was mushrooms...my all-time favorite ever was Pizza Hut's vegetarian on a thin crust...or a Pan pizza with extra cheese, mushrooms and black olives.
Pizza was my favorite food until I became lactose intolerant. And no...I won't eat it without the cheese...takes away the point to me, and the pleasure.

Tell me about it...I was 39 years old, and dairy was my favorite food group. It was on or in everything I ate, plus a glass of milk with my meal as often as possible. Ice cream. Milk shakes. You name it, if it was dairy I loved it. ALL cheeses. A sandwich or burger w/o cheese was dog food to me. Then suddenly I had to learn to like what I considered dog food.
It took me a long time to enjoy eating again. For a long time I just didn't care. I was suicidally depressed for months, and it was years before food stopped tasting like cardboard.
Now I love to eat again, food tastes good, and I don't cry when I see pizza...it took going through my husband's cancer and death to get me over it...then I realized life was too short to sweat the small stuff.
