It doesnt realy bother me, but thats cos im in the uk.

The only ones it should effect are those who who can't seem to govern themselves by begging for handouts from the US. Those countries that have their own inner strength and agendas don't really care.

Of course it affects the world.
You need to export a lot of your goods and services (mainly services now as 'the rest of the world' often makes things better and cheaper).
You also need to import stuff from 'the rest of the world'.
A President and his policy has a huge impact on your relations with the rest of the world.
Many countries that have their own inner strength are intelligent enough to realise that their prosperity is linked to other countries - and that includes the USA.
The rest of the world can survive without you, just as you can survive without us......it's just that by co-operating we can all be better off.
The USA has suffered in the past from an isolationist policy.
Some people never learn the lessons of History; let's just hope there isn't another world war to prove me right!

Why does the US need to import more goods? This is one of the problems that got the US in this trouble. OBama said he is going to bring more jobs back to the US. As long as the dollar stays low, the US will export even more. Plus, if the US' quality is so bad, why would you even think of importing from the US? That would be just plain dumb.
