What way do read Threads.... (7)

The majority seems silent, so I tune up my keyboard here...

}For the question - I read first the threads I have posted in earlier, then those with a catching headline, then those where OP is a person I like reading from and last, the rest.
I read the OP, the last few to see if it has stayed within subject and then, if so, a few from here and there. If it is a very interesting subject, I read it all, but bit by bit, no way I sift through 20-30 pages in one go. Ever

Great question.
I look at a thread title, then the thread author.
There are a few that I will look at started by people who I am not familiar with and the first post can be enough to have me running for the hills.
So, as the discerning character I am, I prefer familiarity.

If I`ve started a thread, I try to check how its doing, like a good hostess type thing.......And if its gone a wandering over the hills try to bring it back home to the subject, unless the wandering is more interesting.
Then I do a quick speed read of the first page threads and the authors, and if something looks interesting, take a look.
I also have my favourite authors amongst the regulars. But if a new person has appeared and begun a thread then I take a look-see to see whats on.
Before posting I like to read the entire thread so I dont make myself look senile and stupid.

The title .... and it irritates the hell out of me when they cannot get the title right!!

Just a bump....I make no excuse for not readibg entire threads (I think I've read about five from start to finish)..In general it's the first posting or three then the last few posts and thats how i do it..
I'm sure i'm missing out on lots of gossip and cat fights etc...But on the other hand I can't miss what i haven't had or don't know...

it depends how long the thread is, and how interestig it seems in the first place, of course. I generally read the first page until I have enough and then the last few posts. I'm amazed that so many seem to read the entire thing.
