Personally it wouldnt put me off although I'm not a big fan of small planes or helicopters, i wouldn't have a problem with bigger planes.
I figure car crashes happen way more often than plane crashes and still it wouldn't bother most people getting into a car after hearing about a plane crash on the news. I don't see why this should be any different. No offence or disrespected intended to the families who lost someone though.
i suppose you have a point!!!i was just curious to hear people views
bencher22: How many flights take place throughtout the world on a daily basis, a hell of a lot id say, no method travel is 100% safe, We drive a car everyday knowing that we could be killed at any moment, it still wouldnt put me off driving
Anyone ever watch Air Crash Investigation program? Think there does be alot of accidents/Crashes than we may think. At least a couple a year. It wouldnt put me of flying but i think id be a little more nervous but then again like someone said above whatever is ment for you wont pass you by so it wouldnt stop me from flying.

Still think I'd ratehr die quickly in a plane crash than slowly drown after a the ship sunk...
Falying back from crete last year and this young dub in front of me kept saying "hope I get a seat at the back" after a while his little sister ( I think) say's "why do you want a seat at the back" he looks at her very seriously and says "have ya every heard of a plane goiing backwards into a bleeding mountain"... Nearly died laughing at him...

last year coming home from cyprus with load of friends. one of my friends hit another friend in the airport. when we got on the plane we were ordered down the back of the plane and the captain came down with security and nearly kicked us all of the flight so embarrissing

I don't know, not all plane crashes are sudden. There may be a time where the pilot is trying to land safely/with less impact and I'd imagine that's more wracking, having absolutely no influence, than being in the water trying to stay afloat

I have to disagree I would rather be on the plane than in the boat.
I find it very strange how an airbus A330 only 4 years old(practically new) had 13 electrical faults and it was only serviced in March, Its bizarre how something like that could happen, Im holding on to my conspiracy theory
well ok take it back only 8 months ago their was 140 killed in spain in another crash and another crash in new york with a plane i really think planes are not been serviced properly these days
