Of course you can be in love more than once. And each time it will be unique. The emotions one has for another person is never exactly the same as the one before it.

and again and again and again, with each subsequent child...
and somehow that gets deeper as time moves on.
I have fallen in love with summer storms, sunsets, a sleeping baby's sigh....the first moment a tiny Joey pokes it's head out of it's mum's pouch....
we do this crazy thing...this need to box and label everything...

No.. IMO There is no way you can be in love with two at the same time.. Not if you were to define real love.Without delving into it the reasons, I can only say that, are you to know real love, you can only be in love with one.. Simple enough..

I don't think you read or understood the OP........... it said nothing of being love with more than one person at the same time merely could you love and at a later date ever love again; but then maybe i got it wrong!

Love is always unique because each time it happens you reach a new level of appreciation for life, a deeper understanding or yourself and the world. Would I still fall in love with my first love now knowing everything I do? No. Does that negate the act of falling in love with him? No. Can I still fall in love with another equipped with this new experience? Yes. Will they be exactly the same type of love and experience? I hope not.
