It's hard to answer a two-part question with one answer. And I'm still trying to make sense of what you posted below it, though I think your point is that online dating isn't as safe as some think it is. Anyway, I think it's safe enough if you take the time to get to know someone through a dating site, especially in a forum like this where you can get a pretty good idea if they're consistent or not, and thereby truly who they say they are, since it's hard to maintain a charade for an extended time with close communication and forums communication. Not impossible, but difficult.

I agree Dru. A liar would have to remember each of his/her lies in order to keep going & be consistent. Most stumble up somewhere.

I unstand that and ture but when you talk on the phone a lie will come out faster becuase they cant think it over as fast as they can in a e-mail they have all time they need to think what to say in a e-mail

QuinnH: I feel most poeple think the E-mail is a most To be safe on the net and they take time thinking this way they are safe and this is not ture when you e-mail someone you have a ip add.. form your carrier that come's back to a mac number that give's your add.. your phone to where you live to who ever you e-mail if you know how to look it up so my point is why e-mail someone that your not willing to talk to when can call them and really get to know them and the time is much faster to know someone this way and safer just hit star #67 then they cant see your number
ok, you are giving me second thoughts about internet dating or any dating, i don't think you are ever safe. you never know, but trusting in the universal law of attraction seems to be a way that works for me, and (gulp) walking my talk,pushing thru the fear, or any leftover feelings from the past... cause If I don't tell anyone I am wanting a relationship, I'll never get one. so tell the world, and one day it will come to be.
