underage people are always on the lookout for somebody older to go and buy cigarettes, alcohol, etc for them.if somebody underage you know asks you to do this, what do you do?
Well the proper person in me say's no, because it's wrong to allow a youth to get involved in something that would mess with their bodies. The other side says No way am I paying a fine for some brat.

There is a lot to be said in how we teach our children in the home. Yes, cultural practices influence our young people.
I was raised in an Italian family, where alcohol was readily available, and clearly remamber spinning round and round at the age of 7, after my parents allowed me to take a nip of 'Strega' (it means 'Witch'...firewater sweet tasting liquer!). Likewise with my son when he was growing up, it was there if he wanted a glass of wine with a meal in his teens, or glass of champagne at a family function...but he hardly touched it. He does drink though, and I am not saying he has never abused alcohol when he has been out with his friends.

Yes, agreed. In Italy, I saw no such problems.
As much as I hated it, I can remember my cousin here in Melbourne, Australia, and also my sister in law here(whose parents own a winery), dip their finger in a glass of beer, and let their babies suck on it!!! I would be aghast, but they just wanted them to get used to trying everything!
