Hello everyone!
As someone said before in this poll, there might be reasons not to have right away a photo in the profile:
Mine? I am in business, and as I joined this site, anyone of my customers, competitors, employees could do the same.
With a picture I am more visible, which is not always desirable!
Anyone, after I have seen her/his profile, asking for a photo will get one (or more) from my side.
My first intention is to meet someone to chat with or to exchange mails: my or their photo, will initially not make any difference.
Not necessarily no photo in the profile is equal to having something to hide!

Nope, but I think the way that society portrays what is 'attractive', may make people just not think highly of themselves if they don't look 'attractive'. Sad really.....

It honestly depends on who is posting. I keep getting messages from men of different countries without profile pictures, making comments about having s#x or getting married.
I ignore those ones, because my profile specifically says friends/hang out, not open season!
Other than that, I am more than happy to reply back to a message based on words

navygirl1: Well I can tell you from being an ex-military policewoman, you like to keep a low profile. Sometimes as a cop you have to go undercover so not posting your photo makes sense. Also, cops can be targeted by undesirables. I have also found some firefighters are uncomfortable with putting thier pictures on the sites too.
So, post an undercover photo ?
