I watched a program on the History channel that seems to indicate that the famous Patterson-Gimlin film footage of the Bigfoot creature was not faked. Each frame of the 16mm film was digitally photographed under a microscope. As a result, the enhanced images show the creature open its mouth, and blink its eyes and make expressions common in primates.
Do you think it is possible that such a creature can live in remote wilderness areas without being detected by science?

Actually, I didn't find the evidence all that compelling. It looked to darn blurry up that close. But I never disbelieved in big foot in the first place. He might be real. I have no reason to think he's not. The guy's partner was so nonchalant about the whole thing that he seems like ........ like it must be true.
girlnextdormouse: I saw that program. (The history channel rocks!)

No one can argue that the film isn't blurry. It is a grainy 16mm image shot in 1967. But the digital enhancement does show details that are not apparent in prior attempts to enhance the image quality. These details seem quite compelling. I had always assumed the film a hoax, I even saw testimony of someone claiming to be the person in the "ape suit". No way I buy that story now.

the more we learn, the more the world shrinks - sad but true................
I think its in Arizona somewhere that there is a fossilized footpront in a rocky riverbed ...............
who knows what was before or is ahead of us ............ the stock market is crazy just now and we may all just die of starvation next week or we may even see our dreams coming true and achieve a utopian society - i for sure, dont know - who the heck does
trish123: well, i guess all that hot water i kept gettin into mustve done me some good at least all i need now is for it to shrink my width n i willl be happy
In 90's a Dutch primatologist searched the Amazon rainforest of Brazil in search of a specific new species of monkey that had been reported. Anlong the way he found four previously unknown species of monkeys, and a new species of porcupine.
Gorillas have been reported as early as 2,500 years ago by Phoenician merchants from Carthage. The natives called them hairy people. The earliest Westen Science to report gorillas was in 1876. And, despite centuries of reports, the Mountain gorilla evaded science until the 1950's.
It seems plausible that other wildlife could do the same. Especially since science is so eager to dismiss "bigfoot".

Yes I believe that is is possibe and probable, Just becaus we don't see it , doesn't mean it isn't true. I saw the documentary also. Saw a documentary on a child who grew up in the wild---didn't even know how to speak and acted like an animal.
Could one exist without us finding them?? The answer is YES. Mythology in Viet Nam spoke of a Gilled Deer, but modern science said this was not possible. The deer "Pseudoryx nghetinhensis" was discovered in Viet Nam.

Who knows I like to think so....It makes life interesting. The mysteries, and some mysteries have to stay mysteries so we have something to wonder and well surprise us! cant find everything out...that would make life boring!
It's definately a possability as far as I'm concerned. There are may documented cases of species that were thought to be extinct, yet they were not. They just were not seen. Problably the most famous is the coelacanths. Thought to be extinct some 80 million years ago, but alive and well. Bigfoot could very well be just as elusive.
Yes, Bigfoot does exist. Once on a fishing trip in a remote area, he stole my lucky rabbit's foot while I was asleep on the shore. Been trying to get the drop on him ever since.
I saw him on TV, too. He was doing a beef jerky commercial, I think. Couldn't see if he had my rabbit's foot. He's probably hiding out where no one will ever find him. My guess would be a condo in L.A.
But all kidding aside, there are many things we have yet to discover. I see strange things all the time in my travels. Most are without explanation. When it comes right down to it, we are not the most observant of God's creatures. I think a mamoth could be living right under our noses without being detected! How many of you have seen me in the woods? See what I mean?
