Thalassa: Well, you never actually said if this was a first meeting between 2 people who have been communicating online or if this was a first date with someone that you met somewhere and decided to ask her for a date to see her again.

To meet someone for the first time, I would say a coffee shop environment is best. If things are going well, it's very easy to then suggest something more....a long walk, a meal, a movie...whatever seems to fit at the time.

For a first date with someone that you've already met...I'd think dinner is a good choice.

In Summer that will be the ideal first date. In Winter in a cosy wine bar with maybe some lite food, but somewhere quiet where u can speak and know yr date better. wine
