jdunne1980: I know we live in a modern world but just curious about the answer to this. I might be considered old fashioned: try to treat women with respect, dont cheat, dont judge them by appearance, etc. For me all I want is a woman who is sweet funny and caring.

Go to Lisdoonvarna and let your hair down, there are a lot of old schools go there, but alas my friend it is a modern world and things are faster than they used to be, but there are still some that dont kiss and tell out there,, they are hard to find because of there shyness.

Women have always been judged by their appearances(talkin generally of course)........or am I wrong ?

I think you can judge people by their appearence in what they are wearing and with women how much or little make up they have on. But people seem to judge women on looks ie chest, size etc and a man by how skinny and how good his abs are.
I for one could care less once the person is nice, sweet, genuine and wants to be loved as much as love someone else.

You dont talk about them until the time is right but that is what the relationship should one day lead to whether it be 6 months or 6 years.

I think thats very admirable of you nand honest. I'm just not sure that applies as an old fashioned value.....

Did falling in love and planning your lives together go out of fashion?Of course at my age the family thing is over and done with but I really think it is sad that younger people seem to think this.
Well I want all the loveliness that comes from a stable, serious relationship but I don't necessarily think that just because I am going out with someone and love them that I will marry them and have kids with them....

I am not saying that a relationship shouldnt be fun and at 23 you are far to young to be thinking of marriage, I just think that if someone does feel they want to fall in love, get married and have a family that it is sad that it is considered old fashioned.

Is it awful? no not at all... you got to do what makes you happy? I would take the laughter ridin and being loved up. But never get that either lol
Also your 23 thats the time to enjoy different peoples company in the hope you will find the one your looking for. Different for me as I am that bit older and just want someone to love me for me and not anyone else.

People treating each other well never goes out of fashion. If we treated each other with respect and dignity, relationships would be so much easier.

If this is true then how come it is harder than ever to find that someone special. Even with all the extras we have now such as internet dating how come there are more people single now than ever before. Could it be people just have to high expectations and wait for the "one" till he never comes along or do we just not want to settle down???
