Keeneland: Well unfortunately anger happens in this world. If you don't like it it's best not to read it i reckon.
Yeah, but should it be brought into our leisure too... You could run a thread on that question, no! somebody would get wound up and not see the irony....
Keeneland: I never said they would be happy about it. I said that why is getting one more important than the other? If a relationships comes along before a job then great, or if a job comes along before a realationship then great also. Why do you need to concentrate on one or the other?
Sevenotwo: you just quite haven't got the gist of this site, have you?

If you hold out on dating until you get employment here in the U.S you will be waiting for a long time seeing as unemployment here has reached 10.1%. Don't believe anything you all hear about this country Oblow has not created jobs as we speak thousands of jobs are being eliminated.
Man i wish i was over there now. How is the employment situation there?

Don't know about the rest of the world but here in Ireland I think things will get a lot worse before they get better.
Our government is doing everything it can to increase the cost of living... they have increased taxes on fuel, parking and waste charges which means everything goes up in price.
They have cut wages and welfare payments...with more cuts to come I would think. They are allowing (or even forcing) employers to cut minimum wage. They have brought in further income taxes and levies.
They are cutting the amount of special needs assistants and language assistants in schools. So children who once would have had a chance of a decent education are now unlikely to reach their potential.
Basically they are taking away the little spending power people have which means more jobs are set to be lost.
They have cut education grants so preventing some people from getting third level qualifications... I believe this will lead to multinational companies pulling out of Ireland as there will not be a skilled/educated workforce and so reduce the number of jobs available.
They are taking contracts away from Irish companies and giving them to the UK... so causing further unemployment here.
Worst of all they have divided the country. Any one who has a job..and want to fight to protect their own and everyone elses is called names and told they are being selfish. The very people who should be joining together to protect each other are fighting against eac other.. because of the lies our government are telling the people of Ireland.
Sorry that was some rant!! But you did ask, Jackson.

My it sounds similiar to what is going on here. The Obama administration promised tax cuts but what we are finding out now is that he is trying to enact more taxes on many things. He has not reduced welfare benefits though at least not for non-whites and the people who need help are more likely not to get it. Outsourcing seems to be a big problem here i myself detest it as it harms people who live here and benefits mainly the Chinese, Pakis and Indians. I know that many workplaces here have cut hours drastically and i have known several people who lost their jobs in the Travel and Tourism industry after 8 or so years of employment. I myself went back to college about 3 years ago and finally graduated in May 09 with a second degree in Travel and Tourism Management but since then the industry has crashed and i even thought about moving overseas to salvage it.
A lot of people become more themself when they are unemployed/struggling financially. Gives them the time to think about the most nb things in life. (as a student ive known this too long!) For this reason i reckon love will develop more between ppl in a recessionary time rather than a boom time, when materialism is a factor. Saying that I believe starting a relationship wen ur broke is tough.
markizamkd25: Whatever i can get first One follows other...if you solve one problem you will easily solve others---or not

FullIrish: What would you focus on firstly if you were single and unemployed?? Getting a job and if a relationship comes well and good, or focus on finding a partner then everything else will fall into place
I would focus on finding a job first, that would be my priority
Personally, id go for a partner all the way, hence why alot of us are here in this boat on cs, jobs come and go, had a few and lost a few in my time. Having a partner is better then any job out there, and I have had more happyness from that experience then what money can buy, with a partner the possibilities are endless..
What difference does it make to dating if a person has a job or not , meet for coffee ( don't cost much) bag o chips ( ot that expensive. go for walk (free) Don't know what the big deal is. if a person likes someone it shouldn't be cos they have money !
