Probably not............even at the height of the Celtic Tiger employers were finding it hard to get people, yet there were still people claiming.
I dont know what it is in the South but I would imagine that it is a lot higher than 45 a week.............Im a closet Socialist and I think people should be made do something for the geater good to claim it.

But what bug's me is the goverment who allow foreign companies into most of our sector's. These companies hire their 'own' kind most of the time. I have no desrespect for people from other countries but this is a terrible situation to be in. There are job's out there, i just wish i was'nt Irish when im looking for work. The head honcho's in this country are borderline leprechaun's 
I understand it may sound easy for people with job's,to say go and find a job.But fact's 3 year's ago when Ireland was booming,still we had over 100,000 on the dole.Some people just are so lazy all the want to do is sit watching tv all day.I have family that worked at the building all their live's and got paid off before Christmas,but are now working again.But I am sure it will be sometime before the other real job seeker's will find work again,but maybe with summer approaching might be some hope for them.Good luck.

No we are not. If people haven't noticed half the businesses would have no staff if it weren't for them they do they jobs irish people think they are too good for or they don't get paid enough for. My dad is from a different country and he come here and opened up a business and he employs Irish people who have a job because of him. So no we deffo are not. It 2010 time to get over it.

Our government is telling lies..claiming that certain fields of work are undermanned...so they have been issuing 100,000 of these H-B1 Visas outsourcing work on American soil....industries taken over by foreigners..on our own soil..while Americans are out of work..this is criminal and treasonous..in my opinon.

As if we don't have enough home grown nutters on the Irish site, the US nutters are coming here. Seems sweet land of liberty is just for the top of the heap and Obama is putting an end to that. Jaysus, if they give the poor health care, their numbers might swell and they could become a majority.
As for diluting the culture, well half of them seem to think they're Irish inspite of never having been here. Can't be that proud to be American!
