FluffyDuffy: very possible but I would never rule out Mourinhos Inter, They played chelsea off the park in the last game and thats not an easy thing to do
it's a pity liverpool isn't in it... they had a great match last night against the french... looking forward to liverpool v man u on sunday.....
Man Utd will reach the final. Bayern are mediocre, they scraped past a poor Fiorentina side who are 6th/7th in the italian league. Barcelona will kick lumps out if Arsenal, i think they will win away and at home., To be honest,m Uniteds draw couldnt have been any better. Avoided Inter, Barcelona and Arsenal. Plus play Bayern away in the first leg which is a huge advantage. I certainly would not rule out Inter at all.. Man Utd v Barcelona/Inter looks a certainty.

I agree that Bayern are mediocre this season but i do think they will be well up for it as they have been in previous years against us. I also agree that while United's draw was a good one, it could have been slightly easier. I would have preferred to draw CSKA Moscow. We have already beaten them once this season and their defence is inferior to Bayern's. I'm not complaining though. Playing Bayern is an advantage as you said. If we keep a clean sheet over there or even nick an away goal or two, it would set us up nicely when we get back to OT.
As for Barcelona, Messi is on fire this season, particularly lately getting two hat-tricks in the space of a week. I reckon if Barcelona and Inter both make it to the semis, it will be a great tie.
DUBLINGUY1973: You could be right there. I know the champions league is different but Bordeaux are playing far better than Lyon this season in the french League and are undefeated in the champions league this season too. I still fancy United to beat them though. I hope you're wrong about a Barcelona/United final because beating them even with Rooney on top form will not be easy.....
Lets not forget Barca have ony started playing "excellent2 the past few weeks. Their defence is very suspect and its superb that the Ferdinand/Vidic partnership is back in tact. I think if United get to the final, Pique wont have a clue how to mark Rooney and im quite confident Evra could do a decent job on Messi.

I wouldn't be so sure about Pique not having a clue how to mark Rooney. He did okay last season although Rooney wasn't nearly as effective last season as he is in this campaign due to the fact he was played out of position for a lot of last season so you could be right. Evra could do a decent job on Messi? I hope you're right. There is not a lot of left backs who could though....
