On Connecting Singles, who started most of your private contacts? (13)
Most of mine started because someone voted on a picture. For the first maybe 36 hours I was on here, I tried to send a flower to everyone who voted, just to say thanks because people were being so nice!hahaha I'm such a dork:/ (Did you know they limit how many flowers you can send in a 24 hour period?? They do.)

Guadalcanal: With 'private contact' I mean a person to or from whom you sent or received at least one mail, flower, IM or ecard. 'starting' means sending the first of all of these.

I guess the majority of the initial contacts were from guys, although I also did send a fair few out myself if I saw an interesting person or just wanted to say hi.
Sometimes, it was just because I wanted to get to know them as a friend, whether male or female. This is a Connecting site, after all!

I never was contacted first, and most of my "flowers", or emails also were not even answered , but some were and out of it, I got some nice "friendships" as far as internet goes

I'd say it's about 60/40 - me/them.
Many of the once I receive are comments about a post or poem, which I REALLY appreciate. Some are people who are genuinely 'interested', which I actually find both sweet and kinda humbling - It certainly doesn't happen in the REAL world.

iv,e only had personal contact with two people, one found romance,which i was very happy about,i get an update every now and then, and i dare not guess what the other person is doing, but i like mayo and mustard on my spam sandwich. i would more than likely have more contact if i had a photo, im sure, but i have my reason for no photo, is very small. lots of people don,t make contact with a person if they don,t have a photo, and i don,t blame them. so just think of me as a denzel washington lookalike, but a hell of lot better looking..
