And what it was your girlfriends to be dentures?
I got it once when we were at the begginning of dating relationship and it did put me off. robot teeth were chasing me,
later my friend-to-be was offering me to get implants, but it was to late, why did anyone who is looking for relationship make themselves ready for it .... but really in my case it was may be the persons reluctance to wear dentures, or to be attrective or take care of himself, but not dentures
hej, man kunne også vende dit spørsmål: ville du gå ud med en person der ikke har nogen tænder, mig personligt, vil det være ligemeget, det er ikke det der handler om, det gør ikke personen dårliger.

MrInteresting: Well>> Would you? You go on a date, it goes well. You see the person again, and that goes well, too. On the third date, they tell you.
Over to you..
How sad really that you asked such a question though a reminder to me as to why I am not looking.Males (and females I dare say though only the guys would know that one) have become very superficial. But hey thanks for asking the question as it might get a few soul searching.

MrInteresting: Would people feel deceived if the person did NOT tell you?
I personally wouldn't.I met a guy 10yrs ago and 10 yrs younger than me and one of the first things he asked me was " Did I mind if he had false teeth?" my answer was,"why of course not, what has the world come to that you felt the need to ask."There is a very true saying do and treat others the way you want to be treated because you never know you may just be in their situation one day.

I like the way you think what you are afraid of will come to you one day

It's not the teeth in your man or woman as the case may be but how they use them. Are you going out with dentures or the person? Seriously, is a kind man with a good heart and dentures better than a man with all his teeth who acts like a pig? I know the answer to that one and I'm sure all we girls do too.

but teeth are very important-the stronger the teeth-harder the bite

I have a cousin twenty years ago we were walking out of a store to get in my Moms car with a gallon of milk. A drunk driver decided to go thru the parking lot to get to a main road (he could not wait on the red light), he hit my cousin going forty miles an hour. It threw her little body up in the air she landed on her face. Somehow she managed to come out without exterior scars. But the doctors told her her teeth would die and she would lose most of them. No saving them. Our family was good people but poor. So no fancy new implants for her. Today she is intelligent beautiful and kind. But because of the way she feels about her partials(dentures) she does not date. Asked all the time. But she worries what if they kiss her and they want to know what is going on in her mouth. It is JMO I want a man who is good kind and ready for a mature relationship. And I believe I will find that by looking at his character not his outsides.

MrInteresting: Um, well which is it!
Which is what? I thought it sad that the question was being asked as it reminded me of how superficial and disposable the world has come. My answer to the poll was yes I would go out with someone with false teeth as I have done so in the past, there is more to a person than just there teeth and I thanked them for asking the question as it may give some people the opportunity to ask themselves said question as sooner or later they are going to be in that situation one way or another. Hope that has cleared up any confusion for you.
I have never given this a thought until I was in a coffee shop recently. A man and a woman came in and sat down with their coffee. He proceeded to take his teeth out and lay them on the table. Didn't phase her a bit. I thought it was really funny. No, who knows why people have to have dentures? Doesn't mean a thing. Just would hope he keeps them in his mouth most of the time while in public.

MrInteresting: A number of people have voted 'depends HOW they lost them'.
Why does that matter.
Come on, speak up....
It doesnt matter how they lost them.I have to wonder though have you recently been in this situation where someone has rejected you for having false teeth? or was it the other way round? After a trip to the dentist earlier this year to get what I thought was a simple filling was shocked to learn that I had peridontal cysts at the base of crowns I had done some many years back plus an absess.Rather than have a partial plate I decided to go the full monty so to speak. If I was to met a guy who was superficial enough to reject me for that reason it would be his lesson and loss not mine.

bravo to you for coming out and saying so
i agree wholeheartedly - it shouldn't matter how they lost their teeth.
and many people can't afford dentistry - it's so expensive in the us! (no wonder people go to mexico for so many things!)
that's why many people end up losing their teeth - because they can't afford to go to the dentist and they find out later they have all kinds things that need to be addressed - from root canals to complete removal.

As a person with full dentures, I feel that you are so far off the mark with this that it is laughable. Not that it really matters but I've had mine since the age of 19 and it was a medical condition that caused my enamel to deteriorate and the saliva was rotting them at the gum line. Out they came and it has been a blessing...I hadn't smiled for years (all through my teenage years) and I am sure that had a suppressing effect on my social development. I have since overcome any inhibitions that it created and guess what...haven't had a toothache in 40 years LOL. Also haven't had to see a dentist in the same time. I have a nice smile and the confidence that it's what a person is inside rather than what they appear to be on the outside that really matters.

congrats on your new chompers annie!
Thank you Dentistry here also costs a fortune and why it isn't included in the Medicare umbrella (so long as it isnt for cosmetic purposes) amazes me as our teeth have the potential to affect our health which was what was starting to happen to me.I didnt realise just how much I took them for granted and that there would be a sense of loss taboot.

Neither, tbh.
I am actually v pleased at the way the results on here have played out, though.
