I agee with you venusenvy. I am alone, but I am no way lonely. Motives for being on a dating site and unique, different and complex based on each of us. Each of us should be understanding of other's actions.

Life is entirely what you make it. I don't have time for negativity in any form, i am happy with who i am regardless of whether i am with a man or not. Life is meant to be enjoyed . . . . single or coupled.

Did 30 years with my ex...... most of which was pretty dammed good, otherwise why would I have stayed so long.
The last 5 years, while she was having an affair were not so good, but I stayed for the sake of my children. (dumb)
Enjoying the single life now, although would love to do the partnership thing again.

I've never married, but that is not to say that I've never had long-term relationships, quite the contrary. I never had a 'bad' breakup and I still love them in a fashion to this day. I don't view life as better without a partner, however, I don't ruminate over the past too much at all anymore.
