Ok guys, in light of recent events : The Honohan Report & The Watson Report, the blunders of Brian Cowen, the arrogance of Mary Coughlan "...a motion of full confidence..." and the pathetic timid proceedings of the Ceann Comhairle Seamus Kirk in favour of Fianna Fail while ignoring opposition leaders requests all throughout last week and this week...Do you still want Fianna Fail in government. Or do you want the uncharismatic Enda Kenny to be our next Taoiseach, albeit don't dismiss Fine Gael because of this guy...a possible Richard Bruton lead party could be a force to be reckoned with. How about my party of choice, Labour with Eamon Gilmore as our next Taoiseach? If they could drop Joan Burton like a hot piece of coal and replace her with Ivana Bacik for Tainiste or possibly Taoiseach, then all the better... Maybe the sneaky Green Party, why are they in Government again? did you vote for them? Oh no thats right no one did...With disgraced Trevor Sargent gone, do you see John Gormley leading our country.... What about Sinn Fein eh ahem next...either of the Socialist Parites? with Joe Higgins or eh hmmmmmmm who's the face of the SWP? anyway or do you side with Communism and their Socialism ideals as the way of the future for Ireland to defer from the Capitalist state thats caused global banking crises...
Was thinking the same myself, its the only decent scenario we can have at the moment anyway, peoplee are getting sick of the typical right wing regeime thas been running this country into the ground for years!
Well from the poll so far it's evident that Labour are the people's choice at the moment, oddly as of posting no one has opted for some form of a socialist party...I have a tendency to find the idea of Sinn Fein in government a bit unsettling, all politics aside, I haven't come across any of their memembers with the ability to make a coherent and concise argument...For me the party stands for a vague ambiguity much like the present government and all they ever seem to do is try to score cheap political points. They won't even make their position clear on who they would go into a coalition with leaving the door open for Fianna Fail. However we do need a radical shift in our politics and for that perhaps a Labour government with some form of a Socialist coalition? For me at the moment a trio of Eamon Gilmore, Joe Higgins and Ivana Bacik is what Ireland needs...

i like labour and i like sinn fein too i like how the party members receive only the average industrial wage. money is the wrong reasons for an individual to be involved in politics but it seems to play a role, always made me sick to think that the an taoiseach was better paid than the president of the united states. people shouldnt be worried by the sinn fein of yesteryear.
Ah they're cute heures them boys...sure if they ever did get into power till make for interesting viewing

What an exciting week in politics, eh guys. Looks like Richard Bruton maybe the new leader of Fine Gael a lot sooner than I thought...Fair play to Enda, at first I thought he had comitted political suicide, but he's holding his own in this battle for power. Well, all shall be revealed tomorrow and I for one cannot wait to see the outcome
However, I was much more disappointed to see a motion of confidence been passed in Brian Cowen, disappointed not shocked.
Did anyone see Mr. Bruton's appearance on Vincent Browne? was kind of refreshing to see a politican with a good sense of humour...and when push came to shove he certainly answered the question that were asked. A sense of honesty and humbliness exudes from this guy and I like that...

He is actually a nice guy in person. I'd trust him before I'd trust any of the gangsters in power these days.
