ooby_dooby: I don't know anybody who wouldn't go back to the boom times of 90's when the stock market was going through the longest bull market in history and everybody was making money hand over fist. Look where we are now. Trillions in debt and approaching 3rd world status. Tax cuts for the wealthy, the gov spying on its citizens, Homeland security who can't even prevent a terrorist from boarding a plane with a jock full of explosives, another terrorist nearly blowing up Times Square, the list goes on.
Regarding Soros, there's an old saying, "I'd rather have him in my tent spitting out, than outside spitting in."
He's spitting no matter where he is! His only Loyalty is to himself!
TheEnglishman: Well lets face it,,science is moving on and the people of power will dig up poor old George Washington,,,take his DNA and clone him with Bill Clinton.
The final result would be a president who would be a vandal running around with an axe looking for cherry trees with a stained career.
I reckon if they rebuild tricky dicky, at least 20% of the population would vote him.
I don't know how you Americans feel about your "presidents",,but over here,,we have "administrators" NOT "LEADERS of people"!
"Seventeen. That's how many times the Bush administration has called for tighter regulation of the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Congress has cooperated only once…
Much if not all of that could have been prevented by a bill cosponsored by John McCain and supported by all the Republicans and opposed by all the Democrats in the Senate Banking Committee in 2005. That bill, which the Democrats stopped from passing, would have prohibited the GSEs from speculating on the mortgage-based securities they packaged. The GSEs' mission allegedly justifying their quasi-governmental status was to package or securitize such mortgages, but the lion's share of their profits—which determined top executives' bonuses—came from speculation."

In the summer, when Congress leaves town and political news grows scarce, pundits often get desperate. Shark attacks, missing blond girls, killer rabbits—suddenly, nothing is too trivial. This summer looks like no exception. The oil spill story is getting old; the recession story is older; the midterms are still months away. Thus, prepare yourself for this doozy to begin making the rounds on cable: Hillary Clinton in 2012.............................
1svelte: This is just for fun! Pick who you like and explain why you picked that person. Be creative. Enjoy!
I pick Sarah Palin. Obviously, Bush didn't mess things up enough because there still are republicans out there, so I'm thinking if Palin gets in, she'd screw things up so badly that the Rep party would cease to exist
