I go there out of respect for my Mother. I miss her and love her. She took care of me for years. She raised me to know the value of human relationships. And I value her greatly. The flowers I leave behind are left for me. They make me happy to see her grave looking pretty. Do not know if this is helpful but it is what it is.
I never go to a grave yard. These places have no connection with the people I loved. I prefer to talk to a picture, sit in my dad's armchair, put flowers next to my mom's pictures. They live in my heart, not in a grave.

I wish I were like you, but I see the dead differently in pictures than when they were alive, could just be the fear and pain.
