Dagosto: Not my personal choice but it's hard to argue with 1939: Gone With The Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Goodbye Mr. Chips, Wuthering Heights, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (with Basil Rathbone), At The Circus (with The Marx Brothers), Beau Geste (with Gary Cooper), Intermezzo (with Ingrid Bergman), the list goes on and on (
But I suspect most folk, like me, are fondest of the films from the decade when they grew up.
