Bladerunner, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future, The Empire Strikes Back, ET, Wrath of Khan, Ghostbusters, The Untouchables, Big,Die Hard, A Fish Called Wanda, Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Witness, The Terminator, Brazil and many more
Other decades might have had technically better movies but the 80's win on pure entertainment value.
I agree! And I would also name Aliens (1986), The Meaning of Life (1983), and just on the edges of the 80s are two of my favorites, Life of Brian (1979) and Thelma and Louise (1991)

That is odd man, I never scene any of those recomended movies you suggested, But Thelma and Louise ??? As my Grand father would of said, My God Man you need to grow up and be a man.
I would of said Bunny and Clyde or the Dirty Dozen or anything manly...
BlainX: Like I said- each to themselves. One time is all the speakin` that movie needs to my so-called satisfaction,
Secondly, I am from the Applachian area and that movie does not represent that area, time, or legacy. If I have a gun in the country, I'll be damn if your going to approach me.

it probably didnt repreesnt acurately but there was some truth to it. it's a movie.
The Hollywood Version did not represent the Appalachian territory, those buck tooths up on the ridges, depicting what that movie suggested, Are Dead Men/Man. Not rogue gooners that hang up there for lengthy periods of time. That's all I'm saying about that.

Unless you are a very religious person, The Meaning of Life, and Life of Brian, (both Monty Python's), should make you laugh your pants off. Strongly recommended!
Aliens, (the second in the series of 4), is one of the best science fiction movies ever (IMHO).
