DUBLINGUY1973: The city fans wouldn't be too happy with you saying City isn't a big club Seriously though, i agree. He needs to be playing first team football at a big club at this stage of his career.

You're probably right about Van Der Sar too. What i meant was when Van Der Sar plays for United, i don't think he shows many signs of age. I reckon he will retire after he leaves United though. It would be a major coup for United if they could persuade City to sell Given to them though. Plus the beauty of it is Given probably has about another five years left in him if he can keep himself fit. I suspect City would prefer it if Given went abroad though.

small keepers seem to go bad over night (6foot2 or under) while the larger lads seem to be able to stay around longer 6foot4 plus i dont know why confused but smaller keepers have bad records at utd like sealey and bartez while the big lads like schmeichel 6foot4 and van der sar 6foot5 will go down in history

martyb99: well actually against Andorra last month he did....but in saying that, he's made less mistakes than any of the other goalies at international level or indeed club level - The 1st one to give me a goalie who didn't make a mistake get's a night free from me!!!

Okay i might be biased being a united fan but I would say Van Der Sar doesn't make too many but everyone makes mistakes from time to time.

Well i'd be happy to give Given the #1 shirt at old trafford and at 6yrs younger, there's less chance of Given making the same bloopers that van der sar made last year - Given would be a perfect choice - even at 34! frustrated

no way given is one of the greats but its all down hill from here im afraid.... hugo lioris would be a much better choice at only 24 look how good he was against the irish and is a similar keeper to given

Hart is easily the best goalkeeper in the Premier League and will be England's no. 1 for many a year. The lad's got time on his side and is naturally talented. I disagree that Mancini dropped Given because of a perceived arrogance, Mancini is a manager who knows what he's doing and he dropped Given because Hart's a better keeper. I can't believe Almunia was among the goalkeepers in the list, the guy is not Premiership class, never mind Arsenal class (and he's ruined a couple of coupons on me as well). Jaaskelainen should be in there, along with Tim Howard and Brad Friedel

Ask yourself what keeper would walk into any team and take the number 1 spot??

Cech or Reina are the only 2 on the list that could do that conversing

So would I but the tricky part might be to convince City to sell to United.
